To Six & Two

By Dustin Parker

After having a two-week break the Royals were back in action last Wednesday to host the Rockets of Rochester.

The way the Royals played, it didn’t seem like they took a break at all. The Royals jumped out at the gun in the first quarter to take a 19-6 lead. Joey Kinnarney had seven points in the first, Jake Timian added two and Cal Wilmot had three points in the quarter. Tyrell Manning also scored in the first and Dustin Parker hit one of his two threes.

SoRo continued their dominance in the second quarter by improving to a 29-11 advantage. Miles Ellis got on the board with a four-point quarter. Cody Welch also got into the game by scoring his only two points of the game in the second period.

The Royals kept the momentum rolling in the third quarter by scoring 21 points! Kinnarney had four more to finish the night with 11 points. Ellis and Wilmot both added four points to their totals. Ellis finished with eight points and Wilmot had nine, Manning had six. After three periods of play, SoRo was running away with the game, 50-15.

The Royals put the finishing touches on in the fourth quarter by adding 11 points. Jack Howe added to the score with a rebound and put-back. Parker added nine points in the fourth to lead all scorers and finish with 14. The Royals won the game, 61-20.
