Randolph Hockey In the first game of The Middlebury Holiday Tournament, Northfield beat Middlebury in overtime, 3-2 on a Tyler Goodrich goal only 1:57 in. Alex Green had a goal and an assist, and a goal was scored by Casey Hunt. Marauder goalie Steven Wuorinen made eight saves to bring the teams record to 4-3-1. Northeastern Clinton (N.Y.) beat Lake Placid to get into the championship match against Northfield. Northeast beat Northfield 4-1. This was actually a great showing for the Marauder boys squad, who were told after the match that Northeast was the top-ranked team in NY State Division II and many-time State Champion. With their record at 4-4-1, Northfield heads home to play Burr and Burton on Wednesday at 5:30, then away at Stowe on Saturday at 8:00. The NAHA Bantam boys team brought their season record to 13 - 1 with weekend wins over Woodstock 6-2, and Lyndon 5-4. Dakota Enberg had a 5-goal weekend with two on Saturday and a hat trick (3 goals) on Sunday. They play Harwood away on Saturday, and Barre at home on Sunday. In girls Under-12 action on Sunday in Northfield against Burlington, the team posted a dominant 5-1 win. It was a strong team effort and goalie Markie Delude was outstanding in stopping many quality shots. Erin Easton had two goals and two assists, and Mackenzie Nash posted an assist . Other goals were scored by Brittney LaFreniere, Shannon Hourigan, and Kristen Dukette. This weekend, the girls will play at home against Hartford at 5:45. _____________ |
