A great sense of loss is felt by Randolph Center folks, also those who pass through the village, in the absence of the lighted Christmas tree. Phil Hodgdon planted the first blue spruce in 1929 and the latest tree on the corner of Route 66, planted in 1981, has grown up into the utility wires and needs to be replaced. It is hoped that, by next Christmas, lights will be shining on a new, young tree. Mim Herwig Randolph Center ____________ |
