‘Readers Theater’ Organizing,

First Event Is Friday, Dec. 28

An informal Readers' Theater evening will be held on Friday, Dec. 28 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the Chandler upper gallery.

Anyone interested is welcome to participate, and the public is welcome to observe.

Participants are asked to bring a favorite poem or scene or speech from a play to read. Readings should be 2 to 5 minutes.

The event is a first step in reviving a community theatrical tradition in the Randolph area. At 9 the group will be asked to devote a half hour to discussing what direction such activity might take in 2008. The range of possiblities includes public readings, play productions, musicals, workshops, charitable projects, and school programs.

The 12/28 reading evening is being organized by John Jackson of Randolph and Anthony Keller of Braintree.
