NORTHFIELD—Edna Fullam Knowles, 89, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at Berlin Health & Rehab in Berlin. She was born April 14, 1918, in Brookfield, the daughter of Wallace C. and Marcia (Smith) Fullam. She graduated from Williamstown High School, class of 1936. She married Leslie J. Knowles June 5, 1937, in Berlin. He died March 22, 1984. She worked for New England Telephone for a few years, at the Norwich University dining hall in Northfield for over 10 years, and farmed on Steel Hill in West Brookfield from 1937-1960. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Northfield Senior Citizens, and Red Mitten Craft Shop, all of Northfield. She was a past member of the Roxbury Congregational Church. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, flower gardening, baking and spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Chamberlin of Northfield; seven grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son, Eldred Knowles; and two sisters, Mabel Fullam and Marion Fullam. There are no calling hours. A funeral service will be held Thursday, Dec. 6, at 11 a.m. at the Kingston Funeral Home, 35 Slate Avenue, Northfield. Burial will take place this spring in the Brookfield Center Cemetery.
