ROTTERDAM, N.Y.—Priscilla Merriman, 79, died Tuesday morning, November 27, 2007, at her home, for complications of a rare lymphoma. She was born February 11, 1928, the daughter of the late Raymond and Gladys Durfee. After her gradation form Whitcomb High School in Bethel, she attended the University of Vermont, where she met and married her husband of 59 years, Floyd C. Merriman. She was a volunteer for numerous community organizations. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, David of Schenectady; John and wife, Karen of Charleston, W. Va.; Wayne and wife, Janice, of Hendersonville, N.C.; and Ruth of Pensacola, Fla.; five grandchildren: Kelly, Chad, Brandon, Jason and Ty; two great-grandsons, John and Nathan Copeland; a brother, John Durfee of Bethel, and nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Monday, Dec. 3 at 11 a.m. at the Emmanuel Friedens Church, 218 Nott Terrace in Schenectady, N.Y. Interment will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Southington, Conn. on Tuesday. Calling hours will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to International Waldenstom Macro-globulinemia. Arrangements are by the Daly Funeral Home of Schenectady, N.Y. ____________ |
