Randolph Singers Concert The Randolph Singers, a 40-member community chorus directed by Piero Bonamico of Barre and accompanied by Tim Guiles of Williamstown, will present their annual Christmas concert Sunday, December 2 at 3 p.m. at Chandler Music Hall on Main St. in Randolph. Now in its 39th year, the chorus currently has members from Randolph, Braintree, Brookfield, Roxbury, Bethel, Royalton, Tunbridge, Chelsea, Washington, Vershire, Marshfield, Williamstown, Montpelier and Cabot. Bonamico has selected a varied and rich program for both the singers and audience enjoyment. Music includes "Carols and Lullabies," "Christmas in the Southwest," adapted by Conrad Susa, and three P.D.Q. Bach/Peter Schickele carols, "Throw the Yule Log On, Uncle John;" "O Little Town of Hackensack," and "Good King Kong Looked Out." "Carols and Lullabies" will be accompanied by marimba and guitar. The program will also include selections from the "Magnificat" composed by Christopher Schonherr, professor of music at Hamburg Conservatory of Music, and recently performed with the Mad River Chorale in the American premier at the Barre Opera House. This version is written in jazz and swing style. Bonamico said another favorite part of the program will include Christmas carols with audience participation, and noted, "The audience has always been a strong, joyful voice and we welcome their singing." As part of the Randolph Singers fund-raising program to help meet their operating costs, raffle tickets will be sold at the door and intermission. The more than 20 prizes to be raffled off at the drawing December 20 were contributed by area merchants and members of the chorus.
