One day after playing their final "home" game TSA welcomed Rivendell to Sharon for a much-delayed and rescheduled game. Unfortunately, the Phoenix were unable to stop Rivendell as the Raptors won their second straight meeting, 2-1. Anna Fischer-Byrne scored the lone and unassisted goal for TSA, while Megan Sarazin scored both Raptor goals. Meagan Marsh assisted on the second goal, while the first goal bounced off the goalie before Sarazin put it in unassisted. Aurora Gleason made 10 saves for Rivendell and Emily Chadwick made nine saves. TSA finishes the season 5-8-1 and is seeded #12 in D-IV. Win Over Cabot A 6-1 victory over their Cabot Husky guests was the frosting on the cake as TSA said "so long and good-bye" to more than half of the ladies on the team on Senior Recognition Day. Senior ladies are Lily Carter, Emily Chadwick, Elyza Chadwick, Ada DeFriez, Erin Kinnarney, Robin Spencer, Rachel Sotak and Bekah Woodin. A "hat trick" by leading Phoenix scorer Heather Skehan, plus single goals by Spencer, Anna Fischer-Byrne and Kathleen Parent almost shutout the Huskies, but a Dorie Grier goal assisted by Haley Smith stopped that. Emily Chadwick made seven stops in the game. ____________ |
