Whitcomb Boys End Season

Whitcomb freshman Brandon Kendall scored his second varsity goal and erased the shutout bid the Blue Mountain Union Bucks had gong last Thursday in South Ryegate in the final game of the regular season for the Hornets. Just one game earlier Kendall had made his first goal of the season.

Blue Mountain’s Shane O’Donnell-Leach scored both Buck goals in the first 15 minutes of the game while holding Whitcomb scoreless for the remaining 25 first half minutes and then again for 36 second half minutes before Kendall made it count in the 74^th minute of play. Buck Charles Jobin assisted O’Donnell-Leach and Hornet Dan Noel assisted Kendall.

Cory Kalnins made eight stops for BMU while Joel Wright had an even dozen.

Blue Mountain Union finishes the regular season at 13-1 and is the #1 seed in D-IV. Whitcomb finishes the season with a 4-10 record and is seeded #14.
