The following area students received scholarships at Castleton State College’s annual Scholarship Awards Ceremony, held recently.

Braintree: Andrew Bent, Criminal Justice, Green Mountain Boys State Scholarship.

Rochester: Maria Murray-Urdanetal, History/Spanish; 2007-08 Presidential Scholarship in History and Social Sciences, and VSC Golf Scholarship.

South Royalton: Heather Spain, undecided, CV Starr Scholarship.

Tunbridge: Sarah Mattern, Nursing; Christopher Schneider Nursing Scholarship.

Williamstown: Joseph Donald Laston, Physical Education; Castleton Fellowship.
