James Erlenbach

BARNARD—James H. Erlenbach, 86, also of Frostproof, Fla., died Tuesday, Oct. 9 at Wedgewood of Winter Haven, Fla.

He was born May 16, 1921 in Boston, Mass., to Dr. James H. and Eva M. Erlenbach.

He graduated with a masters degree from Tufts University in Boston, Mass. On Oct. 6, 1946, he married Ann Leffinwell Noble in Bethel. They later moved to Delaware, Ohio.

He worked for many years at Philips-Roxane Pharmaceutical Labs. After retirement, he moved to Madison, Wis., where he was self-employed as an environmental consultant. He later returned to Barnard.

He was a past president of the Flying Quail Chapter of the Model A Ford Club of America. He was also a judge at the annual Vermont Automobile Enthusiasts Meet held in Stowe.

Survivors include a son, Jim (Kang) of Omaha, Neb., a daughter Betsy Erlenbach Mouser of Radnor, Ohio; a grandson, Colin; a granddaughter Laurie and her husband, Brian Coy; three great-grandchildren, Jacob, Andrew and Emily Coy, all of Radnor, Ohio; and a sister, Ann Massingill of Tierra Verde, Fla.

He was predeceased by his wife, Ann, in October 1990, and also by a grandson, Brian James Erlenbach.

A graveside service was held at Cherry Hill Cemetery in Bethel, Wednesday, Oct. 24.
