LEITERS FORD, IND.—Paul "Red" Davidson, 90, died October 8, 2007 at his home. He was born August 8, 1917 in Leiters Ford, Ind., the son of Thomas M. and Laura B. McIntyre Davidson. He lived most of his life in Fulton County, Ind., with the exception of 10 years. He was a 1935 graduate of Leiters Ford High School, where in his younger years he enjoyed baseball, basketball and tennis. He and his wife wintered in Florida for 17 years, after his retirement, and enjoyed fishing in Lake Okeechobee and the Kissimmee River. He was a poet, sharing his poems with family and friends. He married Rosemary Ault December 3, 1950 in Rochester, Ind. He was the Post Master at the Leiters Ford Post Office for 31 years. He was a lifetime member of the Leiters Ford United Methodist church, was the Worshipful Master of Kewanna of the Kewanna Lodge, F&M Lodge #79, now of Rochester; and was also the Most Wise Master of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, the Rose Croy Chapter of South Bend. He was also a Scout Master in Leiters Ford. He was a US Army Veteran, serving from 1941-45. Survivors include his wife, Rosemary; two daughters: Laura J. Davidson and her companion, Nora Skolnick of Braintree, and Paula L. Richardson and husband, Jerry, of Leesburg, Ind.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; a son, Jack Andrew "Andy" Davidson; an infant daughter, Judith A. Davidson; six sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will take place Friday, Oct. 12, at the Leiters Ford (Ind.) United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Leiters Ford Cemetery. The American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars will conduct military graveside rites. Memorial gifts may be made to the Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital.
