Marie C. Marks

EAST RANDOLPH—Marie "Midge" C. Marks, 74, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2007 at Gifford Medical Center in Randolph.

She was born June 9, 1933 in Philadelphia, Penna., the daughter of James and Sadie (Cuomo) Federico.

She attended Philadelphia schools, and following her education, worked in a Philadelphia textile mill as a seamstress for several years.

She married James G. Marks June 15, 1963 in Laconia, N.H. They made their home in New Jersey until moving to East Randolph in 1978. She worked at Waterbury Co. in Randolph for many years.

The Marks moved to Interlachen, Fla. in 1997, where she was very active in the Interlachen Senior Center. Following the death of her husband in 1999, she spent summers in East Randolph and moved back to East Randolph in July of this year.

She enjoyed knitting, macrame and loved to go fishing. Most of all, she liked visiting with her friends and spending time with her grandsons.

Survivors include her son, James Marks and his wife, Kim, of East Randolph; a sister, Anna Pearson of Interlachen, Fla.; and two grandsons, Jimmy and Colby Marks.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 27 at 10 a.m. at the Day Funeral Home in Randolph with Pastor Marty Bascom officiating. Burial will be at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph Center. Calling hours were held Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Day Funeral Home of Randolph.
