Chelsea Girls Score Big

The Chelsea Lady Devils prevailed over opponent Cabot with a promising 7-3 win. Chelsea struck first and had goals from Kim Upham, Morgan Wadkins, Althea Spencer, Robyn Kennedy, Michelle Upham, Brenda Mannings, and Hillary Bonasera. Chelsea’s offense didn’t show any signs of weakness and it showed by scoring seven goals.

Both teams had strong lines of defense, however Chelsea was able to find loop holes and execute. Chelsea improves to 4-1 and hosts Whitcomb this Thursday.

7-1 Victory

The Lady Devils came away with a promising 7-1 win against their opponent, the Rivendell Raptors. Right away the Red Devils made their presence known. K. Upham had three goals for the Red Devils while M. Upham had two and H. Bonasera had another two.

Each team had convincing runs up the field that looked as if they were going to score, but their defenses forced the wall throughout the game. However, it wasn’t enough, as Chelsea reached in another big win.

Double O.T.

The Chelsea Red Devils dropped one to the Blue Mountain Bucks in double overtime last week. Blue Mountain struck first with a goal from Marissa Gagnon with 15 minutes remaining in the first half. The assist came from Diane Lord. However, a few minutes later Althea Spencer scored an unassisted goal to tie the game at 1-1.

It remained 1-1 for the rest of the game with both teams having opportunities to score. Clutch performances from the defenses kept the game tied.

Six minutes remained in the second overtime, before the Bucks struck. Kiera Sauter scored for the 2-1 win.
