United States Air Force Senior Airman Christopher B. Blaisdell, son of Brian and Sheila Blaisdell of Tunbridge, was recently selected for promotion to Staff Sergeant. A 2002 graduate of Whitcomb High School, he is currently stationed to the National Air and Space Intelligence Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, and lives in Dayton, Ohio with his wife and their two dogs. This was his first year testing for Staff Sergeant and he will sew on his new stripes sometime next year.

Joshua A. Bauder, a 2007 graduate of South Royalton High School and the son of Richard and Terri Bauder of South Royalton, has entered basic cadet training at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., in preparation to begin his first year at the academy.

We hope Herald readers will let us know the names of their loved ones serving our country, that person’s local connection (whose son, daughter, nephew, etc. are they?), what branch of the military they’re in, where they’re stationed, their rank and specific duties.
