Benefactors
All Around Us

In response to Mim Herwig’s question "Where are today’s Chandlers and Kimballs?", they are the many generous and caring community members and patrons who financially support Chandler and Kimball.

Such huge gifts of generosity also require constant funding to maintain such facilities in structure and offerings. The cost of such maintenance escalates each year. The fact that Chandler and Kimball have survived and thrived over the past 100 years is testimony enough that there are many philanthropists among this community.

However, without the numerous volunteers who give generously of their valuable time, energy, and talents in the way of volunteering, philanthropists alone cannot provide the very life of such entities. May I also point out that there are many worthy causes in our hometown and rather than "put their eggs all in one basket", some philanthropists, I am sure, like to spread the welfare around town.

When I read the call for two hometown philanthropists needed, I had to defend what I believe is a very generous hometown community and far from greedy and uncaring. So, where are today’s Chandlers and Kimballs, you ask? They are behind the scenes in Chandler and in the seats, and they are supporting the library, also. They are all around you, Mim.

This town has continued to be graced with generosity from many, many more than two philanthropists and, likely, will continue to be blessed—even without a new entity or two.
