Jeanne Sinnott

RANDOLPH—Jeanne L. Sinnott, 86, died Sunday evening, Sept. 9, 2007 at Gifford Medical Center.

She was born January 4, 1921 in Braintree, Mass., the daughter of Harold J. and Anna (Haxton) Maxwell. She graduated from Braintree High School in 1938, and lived many years on the south shore.

She married Richard Chase in 1940. He died in 1959. She married Edmund L. Sinnott in 1963. They moved to Randolph from Marshfield, Mass. in 1972.

She was a substitute teacher at Randolph Area Vocational Center, and was past president of the Gifford Medical Center Auxiliary. She attended the Morningstar Fellowship in Barre and was a member of the Wise Owl Club. An avid Boston Red Sox fan, she enjoyed knitting, gardening, cooking, and trips to Quechee with her girl friends for the auxiliary.

Her husband, Edmund, died in 2002.

Survivors include her sons Richard Chase of Widefield, Colo., John Chase of Yakima, Wash., Robert Chase of Richmond, and James Chase of Randolph; a daughter, Janet Chase of Pompano Beach, Fla.; stepsons, Chad Sinnott of Maine and Matthew Sinnott of Marshfield, Mass.; a stepdaughter, Susan Paiva of Sharon; 19 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two grandchildren, Christopher Chase and James Noonan; and her brothers and sisters.

Memorial services will be Saturday, Sept. 15 at 1:30 p.m. at the Day Funeral Home in Randolph, with Rev. David Newlun, officiating. Calling hours will be from 7-8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 14 at the funeral home.
