SoRo School
Is Special

As a member of the school faculty, I feel it is important to let the South Royalton community know that you have a very special school that is in a prime position to grow. I have taught in South Royalton for the past 13 years. I do not live within the town of South Royalton, but am envious of what you have and what you could have.

Yes, at the present moment the student census is lower, but it is critical to visualize beyond the moment or even next year. If you present the school as a growing vital center to the community, you are going to attract families who want to become a part of such a community.

There are some important guarantees to think about:

Number one: there are always going to be children needing a school. Why not choose to provide them with the best school you can. A school that shines out and attracts.

Number two: taxes are going to go up. If the town does not choose to present a school that is attractive and thriving, taxes are still going to go up. Why not choose to have your taxes go up because you made the choice to do what you wanted to do and didn’t have the choice forced on you.

Number three: the cost of doing something if you don’t do it now is guaranteed to go up. Building supplies will not be going down even in the future. Why not choose to build now at the reasonable cost that has been projected.

Do you want to continue to think in the present that things are gong to continue to decline? Chances are they will, because that is the picture that you will project out. You need to look beyond the present to what you would like the future to look like.
