RoseAnna Lanpher PITTSFIELD—RoseAnna Cote Lanpher, 89, died Saturday, August 25, 2007 at Gifford Medical Center in Randolph. She was born March 10, 1918 in Masonville, Quebec, the daughter of Louis and Melvina (Delisle) Cote. She moved to Vermont at an early age and attended schools in Jay. She married Clifton G. Lanpher October 22, 1934. He died in 1997. She was primarily a homemaker, but helped support her family by doing piece work at home. She also worked for a time at the Weyerhaeuser Veneer Mill in Hancock, did housekeeping duties at Clifford of Vermont in Royalton, was an expert seamstress, and worked for Killington Ski Resort in that capacity, as well as doing wallpaper hanging. Her many hobbies included designing and making quilts and knitting. Survivors include three daughters: Bea McCullough of Bethel, Beulah Lanpher of North Tunbridge, and Beverly Poirier of Claremont, N.H.; two sons, Larry Lanpher of Pittsfield and Ronald Lanpher of Hancock; 18 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Lloyd Lanpher; six brothers: Claude, Adlore, Armond, Leo, Ted and Raymond; five sisters: Leona Davis, Marion Parker, Yvonne Chase, Georgianna Bruneault Banak and Irene Welker Bousquet; and two great-grandchildren, Frank McCullough and Sierra Lanpher. Graveside services were held Wednesday, Aug. 29 at the Pittsfield Village Cemetery, with Pastor Richard Dumont officiating. Calling hours took place August 28 at the Day Funeral Home in Randolph.
