Youthful Dreamers Are Sought For Chandler Fall Production

Calling all dreamers! A new youth production is in the works at Chandler Center for the Arts in Randolph. "You Gotta Have a Dream" will feature a collection of original songs, dance, readings and skits performed by area youth and teens.

Director Patty Akley Warlick has teamed with musical director Susan Rule, artistic director Rebbie Carleton, and production manager Betsy Cantlin in the creation of this new stage show. This quartet shares a vision of helping children to develop as artistic, creative, present and involved human beings, with a sense of purpose and mission within their communities and throughout the world.

Rehearsals will take place at Chandler Music Hall beginning Sunday, Sept. 9. Youth ages 7-18 are encouraged to attend. Elementary students will gather Sundays from 6-7 p.m. and Thursdays from 6:30-7:15 p.m. Junior high and high school students will rehearse on Sundays from 7-8:30 p.m. and Thursdays from 7:15-8:15 p.m. Financial assistance is available for those who need help with the registration fee.

Performers will share their works in three stage shows—for Chandler’s Arts in the Schools series on Friday, Oct. 26 at 9:30 a.m., and at public performances Friday and Saturday, Oct. 26 and 27 at 7 p.m.

To register, please contact Betsy Cantlin at outreach@chandler-arts.org or 728-9878.
