Next Tuesday, Aug. 28 is the date of the first rehearsal for the new and exciting season planned for the Randolph Singers. The Randolph Singers encourage all singers, old and new, to come to the Baptist Fellowship rehearsal space on Route 66 at 6:45 Tuesday for the beginning of the new year. Auditions or experience are not required, just a love of singing and the ability to attend regular rehearsals. Piero Bonamico will return as director, aided by Tim Guiles who is accompanist. Rehearsals will be two hours in length and take place every Tuesday from the Aug. 28 on. The Randolph Singers last year represented Vermont at Jamestown, Virginia's 400th year celebration and were a part of the 1607 singers from every state in the union. "This year promises to be exciting too," said Singers president Sandy Stephen. "We will be preparing for the much-anticipated Gwyneth Walker birthday bash to take place at Chandler on Oct. 14, followed by a Nov. 10 concert at Barre Opera House with the Mad River Chorale. "And of course, the very popular Christmas concert will take place at Chandler on Dec. 3. We look forward to seeing new faces and old friends again." | |||||
