Blakeman Not

Treated Fairly

I followed with dismay the proceedings last fall concerning Kevin Blakeman's hope to build on Sunset Hill Road. I did not speak out, as I felt I had not followed it carefully enough, but it did not seem that Mr. Blakeman was getting a fair deal.

I have had the experience, in the past, of having a house built on a lot between my home and "my" view, and it was not welcome, but we felt, at the time, that if we did not protect ourselves by purchasing the property ourselves, we really did not have any recourse but to accept a building that met the requirements of the town.

It would seem clear, at this point, that Mr. Blakeman really did not get a fair shake, as affirmed by an objective source. I hope very much that the Randolph Development Review Board will act promptly to grant permission to Mr. Blakeman to proceed.
