All classroom teachers at the Wellspring School in Chelsea are returning this fall. New staff members include Marianne McCann teaching knitting and other handwork, and Torsti Rovainen leading the movement education program.

Located on the green in Chelsea, the school was founded in 1988 and currently offers classes up through the eighth grade.

In addition to the nursery/kindergarten program that offers practical learning through storytelling, bread-making, seasonal craft projects, and nature activities, the school is offering a two mornings per week program for younger children, ages two to three.

Registration for the Morning Garden program is now open for the fall session. This parent/infant-toddler group shares circle time, snack preparation, seasonal projects and parenting discussion. The seven-week fall session will meet on Mondays from 9-11 a.m. and begins Sept 17. Call the school at 685-3181 to register or to find out about the school’s unique pledge tuition system.
