Randolph Rotary Art Auction Planned August 11 at VTC

On Saturday, Aug. 11 at 7 p.m., the Randolph Rotary Club will host an art auction fundraiser at Vermont Technical College’s Morey Hall in Randolph Center. All of the money that Randolph Rotary receives from this auction will go right back into meeting community needs as well as selected international needs.

Marlin Fine Auctions will bring to Randolph over 160 pieces of fine art ranging from original oil paintings, to hand-signed limited edition works including lithographs, gels, and giclees.

All artwork will be custom framed and range in price from $65 to several thousands of dollars. Most bidding will start at 40-50% less than gallery prices, so there will be bargains to be had for the lucky bidders. Among the many artists represented will be a Marc Chagall hand signed print, Borelli original oils, LeRoy Neiman hand signed lithographs, as well as hand signed, limited edition giclees by Robert Lui, Orlando Raphael and others.

Also up for auction will be fine hand blown glassware from Europe as well as local (Vermont) works of art, including sculpture and wood turnings.

There will be free wine and cheese during the event, as well as a cash bar. Wines will be available from seven different countries. Tickets will be sold at the door and can also be purchased in advance by calling Brent Kay at 728-5052 or Arny Spahn at 728-4799.
