New World Festival Issues
Annual Call for Volunteers

The 15th annual New World Festival will be held, as usual, it will be held on Labor Day Sunday, which this year is Sept. 2, from Noon until midnight.

And as usual, the Festival is searching for volunteers to make this Festival a memorable event.

"We have more opportunities for volunteers than ever before because of the bridge construction in Randolph," said volunteer chair Anna Sease.

"We need more than 100 community volunteers throughout the day! As in the past, three hours of your time will earn you an all-day pass to the Festival. A few tasks will require more than three hours.

Areas for volunteers, she said, include:

• Postering throughout the region.

• House cleaning in anticipation of the musicians’ arrival.

• Early morning set-up.

• Festival Store Sales.

• Greeters at the entrances.

• Checking in volunteers.

• Verifying tickets at the doors of the venues.

• Working in the family tent.

• Recycling and trash.

• Refreshments and table-cleaners.

• Traffic control.

Sease asked that any one interested to call her or Lee at 728-5788. The list will be finalized on Saturday, Aug. 25.

"We have heard many comments that the volunteers helped make the New World Festival such an outstanding event," she said.
