Larger Location
For Frame Studio

When Pauline Garner moved her six-year-old framing business to its new home on Salisbury Street, she more than doubled her previous amount of workspace. As an added benefit, she now works next door to her husband.

The new location for Pauline Garner Custom Picture Framing is a small building adjacent to Day Funeral Home. Until January the building housed Dale Barnard Monuments. When Barnard moved to a new location on Rt. 12, it was the perfect opportunity for Garner to move her business from her smaller location at Firstlight Studios. Garner’s husband, Randy, is co-owner of Day Funeral Home.

Garner, who specializes in "pretty much everything," learned the art of picture framing from her friend Kathy Mann, and later took classes in mat-cutting and other essentials. Available by appointment only, she says she appreciates the freedom setting her own schedule.

Garner’s biggest customers are the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and Wild Apple Graphics in Woodstock. She says she loves the artistic challenge of framing and "making it look good."
