New Herald Correspondents Reporting So. Royalton News

Bruce and Susan Jones will share the position of Herald correspondent for the South Royalton area. Since the couple moved to town in early 2006, they have been busy building their energy-efficient residence.

Bruce drives a school bus for First Student and has the South Royalton Russ Hill and Dairy Hill routes. He also runs a small photography business and is a substitute teacher for the South Royalton schools, but says his primary job is finishing the house! His background includes being a plant manager for a General Electric manufacturing facility; and owning a few small businesses pertaining to the design of printed circuit boards for military and commercial uses, photography, construction, and mobile oil changes.

Sue is a Vermont native and works at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center as a registered nurse in the adult intensive care unit. She has bachelor degrees in nursing from the University of Virginia and in psychology from the University of Vermont.

Both Bruce and Sue have been enjoying researching her ancestral roots in Windsor County (dating back to the 1700s) and throughout New England. Their interests include computers and the Internet, traveling, cooking, genealogy research, and community volunteering. Bruce is also a licensed private pilot and an amateur radio operator.
