RANDOLPH—C. Jean Pettinato, 83, of Randolph, died Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at Gifford Medical Center. She was born September 23, 1923 in Tolland, Conn.; the daugher of Gene and Catherine (Culligan) Rudolph. She married James D. "Dan" Pettinato in Phoenicia, N.Y. in 1948. They moved to Randolph from Connecticut in 1974. Her husband died in 1982. She was an avid reader and had a broad knowledge of antiques and history, enjoying many years of buying, selling and refinishing antiques. She owned and operated the Antique Shop of Randolph, and was a member of the Gifford Medical Center Auxiliary, working in their thrift shop for many years. Survivors include two sons, James Pettinato of Ohio, and John Pettinato and his wife, Pat, of East Montpelier; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Cathy Molnar; and sister, Eleanor Malloy. Visiting hours were held Tuesday morning, July 3 at the Day Funeral Home in Randolph, followed by private burial at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in her memory be made to the Gifford Medical Center, Last Mile Ride Fund, P.O. Box 2000, Randolph, Vt. 05060.
