Motorcyclist Killed A 56-year-old Lincoln man died Friday night when he was thrown from his motorcycle after striking a moose on Route 100 in Granville at 9:50 p.m. State police in Royalton said Mark Aron Rose was northbound on a Kawasaki Ninja 900, when he came around a right hand curve and struck a moose in the roadway. Rose’s motorcycle traveled off the east side of the highway and he was thrown from his motorcycle. Police said Rose sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene by Valley Rescue personnel. In addition to three state troopers, Granville Fire and Hancock Fire were also on scene. The weather and roads were clear and dry at the time. |
