It’s a rite of summer: Farmers markets are springing up all over the White River Valley.

They can be found at different days of the week in Randolph, Rochester, South Royalton, Bethel, and Chelsea, selling not only fresh produce from area gardens but a variety of homemade crafts and food products.

The youngsters here are at the Rochester market June 30, selling homemade goodies baked by Anna Jordan.

Markets continue throughout the summer until September or in some cases even October.
