CV Little League Tourney

The Central Vermont Little League Tournament was held in Sharon, Saturday and Sunday, June 23 and 24. Four teams from Sharon, South Royalton, Strafford, and Tunbridge competed in the baseball tournament with the Sharon Cyclones taking home first place.

Saturday’s games included South Royalton and Tunbridge battling out a close game with South Royalton victorious, followed by Sharon defeating Strafford in a last inning rally.

On Sunday morning Tunbridge defeated Strafford handily, securing third place, while Sharon went on to defeat South Royalton and win the tournament with a score of 13-6.

The Sharon Little League had lots of help in hosting the tournament. The umpires were: Jason Flint, Gordon Barnaby, Paul Brock, Scott Moore, Jeremy Perkins, Tom Ballantyne, and Adrian Lakin. Mike Tracy served as commentator.
