WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.—Peter Carmiggelt, 58, died Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C. He was born November 6, 1948 in New York City, N.Y., to Bernard and the late Harriet Carmiggelt, formerly of Randolph. He graduated from Ramsey High in New Jersey in 1966 and went on to attend Vermont Technical College in Randolph Center. He was self-employed as a petroleum dealer, owning stations in Vermont and Massachusetts before moving to North Carolina in 1991. Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Deborah Grote Carmiggelt; his father, Bernard Carmiggelt, and wife, Cheryl, of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a twin brother, Michael Carmiggelt and wife, Monica, of Simsbury, Conn.; a sister, Amy Bettis and husband, John, of Virginia Beach, Va.; a brother, James Carmiggelt, and wife, Helen, of Atlanta, Ga.; seven nephews, three nieces and a great-nephew. At his request, no services will be held. ____________ |
