BARRE CITY—Marie B. Boutin, 86, died Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at the Woodridge Nursing Home in Berlin. Born in Kingscroft, Quebec December 26, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Florence (Rancourt) Veilleux. At an early age she moved with her family to Williamstown. She attended school in Williamstown and Barre City. She was employed at Sprague Electric in Barre. On September 22, 1951 she married Paul J. Boutin. After their marriage, the couple made their home on Baptist Street in Graniteville for several years. He died January 23, 1997. She was a member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church in Graniteville and St. Monica Catholic Church in Barre, and the Ladies of Ste. Anne Society. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, collecting stones, playing cards and was an avid Bingo player. Survivors include three daughters: Louise Groleau-Ellingwood of East Montpelier, Solange Rea of Randolph Center, and Jane Berard of Williamstown; five sons: Marcel Boutin and Paul Boutin, both of Louisiana; Ronald Boutin and Laurent Boutin, both of Graniteville; and Conrad Boutin of Waterbury Center; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters: Marie Rose Tetreault and Yvette Roy, both of Barre; and Marie Ange Boulard of Connecticut; two brothers, Arthur Veilleux of Texas and Wilfred Veilleux of Connecticut; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters: Evelyn Menard, Margarite Boisvert and Flora Ange Roy; and three brothers: Paul, Gerard, and William Veilleux. A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Tuesday, May 29 at St. Sylvester Catholic Church in Graniteville. Calling hours were held at the Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home in Barre Monday, May 28. Interment took place in St. Sylvester Cemetery in Lower Websterville. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Woodridge Nursing Home, Patients Activity Fund, P.O.
