Florence Koenig

STOCKBRIDGE—Florence J. Koenig, 80, died Saturday June 9, 2007 at Gifford Medical Center in Randolph.

She was born October 3, 1926 I Newark, N.J., the daughter of Frank and Mary (Yost) Lutz.

She atended Newark (N.J.) schools.

She married Frederick Koenig November 2, 1944 in Newark. They moved to E. Brunswick, N.J. in 1954, where they raised their family. They moved to Stockbridge in 1976.

She enjoyed shopping, cooking, traveling, knitting, crocheting, doing puzzles, playing games and entertaining. She especially liked spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the Mite Society in Gaysville.

Survivors include her daughters, Candice Rice of Stockbridge and Ginelle Ford of Bethel; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband and a daughter, Janice French.

Private graveside services will be held at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph Center at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Alliance & Hospice of VT & NH, PO Box 976, White River Jct., Vt. 05001.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Day Funeral Home of Randolph.
