On School Issue

     Apparently the quality of School Supt. Brent Kay's mercy is strained through a gauzy film of situational ethics and convenience. In his remarks concerning the extent of drug use in our (his) school among our children, he states he hears "people say there is a drug problem in the school.

In Whitney Case
     It is hard for me to believe that our Police Department would single out a man as Ms. Jarvis has determined (letter, 6/7). There is a reason that you see Harvey’s name in the paper so often and it is not because of our police force.
