Two Plead Guilty Justin Lemieux, 25, of Randolph and Renada Walters, 23, of Braintree pleaded guilty in U. S. District Court in Burlington last week to possession of stolen firearms. Sentencing will be at a later date, but could include up to 10 years in prison. The guilty pleas are the conclusion to a Nov. 23 incident at the Locust Creek Outfitters store on Route 107 in Bethel, in which five revolvers and a pistol were stolen after a burglar entered through a store window. Court records show that the police found evidence which led state and federal agents to Walters’ home in Braintree immediately following the robbery. Walters and Lemieux were both there, along with another man, Shawn Sedor, records say. However, Walters was able to fool police by telling them Lemieux was a "Mike Butler" and sending them to a house in Chelsea, where she said they might find Lemieux. The house was empty, and by the time the police got back to Walters’ home, she had fled, along with Lemieux/ "Butler." The two were arrested a week later in Tampa, Fla. Police say that Lemieux was the one who entered the Locust Creek store while Walters drove him to the store and performed look-out duties. |
