VTC Graduates 402

In ceremonies held in Northfield last Saturday, Vermont Technical College conferred 339 associate degree diplomas and 63 bachelor degree diplomas to its 2007 class of 402 graduates.

The ceremony included a welcome from VTC President Ty Handy, and address by student speaker Melissa Mucha. Dozens of awards were handed out to individual graduates, as they stepped forward to receive their diplomas.

The commencement ceremony this year moved to Shapiro Field House on the Norwich University campus in Northfield, to accommodate the crowd.

VTC President Handy reported this week that 2200 guests attended graduation, compared to 1800 last year.

Graduation ceremonies for the 130 or so students graduating from VTC’s nursing program will be June 23, at VTC’s Judd Gym.
