RUHS/Spaulding Track Meet

On Tuesday, May 8, the Randolph track club traveled to Spaulding to compete in a meet against six other schools.

Competing in the 100-meter dash was Amy Richburg, Holly Mugford and Danielle Galbreath. Richburg finished with a 15.88, close behind was Mugford with 16.2, and next was Galbreath with 19.1. Running the 400 for the girls was Allie Byrne and Galbreath. Byrne received a time of 79 seconds, and Galbreath finished the race in 94 seconds.

Wes Simpson competed in the 800 and took fourth place in that event. Running the Boys 200 was Seth Dezan and he finished the race with a 26.1.

Mugford ran in the Girls 200, and received a time of 34.9 seconds.

In other events, Dezan competed in the boys long jump, jumping 15 feet. In the girls javelin Galbreath threw a 46 feet, 7 inches, and Mugford threw 80 feet, 6 inches. Mugford took third in that event. Also competing in javelin was Dezan. He threw the javelin 106 feet, 9 inches. Dezan took fourth place in javelin. In shot put, Mugford threw 23 feet, 6 inches, and Dezan threw 28 feet, 7 inches.

The team was busy last week and this week competing at many meets and many events.
