Patricia Plumb

BRAINTREE--Patricia A. Plumb, 66, of Braintree, died Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at her home.

She was born October 2, 1940 in Springfield, the daughter of William and Barbara (Giddings) Plumb. She was raised in Proctorsville and graduated from Chester High School. She received her health care training from St. Mary's Hospital for Children in Bayside, Long Island, N.Y.

She married Philip M. Plumb in Chester June 3, 1967, and moved to Braintree in 1968. She was a caregiver and friend to several people in the Randolph area.

She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, vice president of St. Margaret's Guild, served on the Vestry committee, head of the Altar Guild, and was a youth group leader. Also active in Cub and Boy Scouts, she was a den leader, a Silver Beaver award recipient, and served on the Eagle Review Board. She received the St. George Award, which is the Episcopal Church's highest scouting award.

She served with Interfaith Caregivers, and had been active in the Randolph Union High School Music and Sports Boosters. She served as a youth leader for the Episcopal Diocese of Vermont for 15 years, and was a Vermont coordinator for New England Episcopal Youth Activities.

Survivors include her husband, Philip M. Plumb of Braintree; two sons: Craig and his wife, Angela Kieslich Plumb, of Colchester; and William and his wife, Tawnya Anderson Plumb, of Laramie, Wyo.; her mother, Barbara Giddings Plumb of Mt. Holly; a brother, Lawrence Plumb, of Mt. Holly; and two grandchildren, Alan and Spencer Plumb.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, April 26 at 3 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church in Randolph. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in June at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph Center.
