Dr. Burma Band To Perform
At Third Sharon Academy Gala

Dr. Burma, one of northern New England’s premier rhythm and blues dance bands, will provide the entertainment for the Sharon Academy’s third Annual Gala Saturday, April 28 at the Sharon Academy on Route 14 in Sharon. The gala will include an evening of dinner, dancing to music by Dr. Burma, and a silent auction.

Presented in part through the support of Kimball, Sherman and Ellis, and O’Hara and Gercke, the gala is the primary annual fundraiser for the Sharon Academy. Numerous local businesses and artisans as well as academy families have donated items to the silent auction. Vacation homes, art, entertainment, jewelry, specialty foods, services, and a multitude of gift certificates from a variety of businesses will be up for auction. A light buffet supper with wine and beer will be served during the silent auction. Proceeds from the gala will fund the Sharon Academy’s endowment.

"The evening is a night to get together with friends, and enjoy good food and music while helping the school provide scholarships for students and opportunities for faculty through its endowment," said Michael Livingston, Head of the Sharon Academy.

The evening’s festivities begin at 6 p.m. The silent auction and supper buffet will be held from 6-8 p.m., with dancing from 8-11 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling the Sharon Academy at 763-2500.
