I would like to take this opportunity to lend my support to Neal Fox to continue his role on the Bethel Selectboard. As a fellow board member, I have considered it a privilege to have served with Neal during the past five years, and look forward to the leadership he provides in his role as board chair. During this time the town has faced many challenges, and through Neal’s leadership we have met those challenges and solved them with thoughtful solutions. No one works harder for the best interest of our Town, and few have the knowledge and experience of a successful business background as well as the respect of officials in the highest capacity in Montpelier. Most important, in my opinion, is Neal’s keen perception of the source of funds that keep our Town operating, the tax revenue contributed from each and every citizen and property owner in Bethel. Every decision made always comes back to how will it affect the bottom line, the budget, and those individuals that must sacrifice their hard earned dollars to support those decisions. I encourage all residents who are able to attend our Town Meeting on March 6 and join me in voting to re-elect Neal Fox to the Select Board so as to continue a fiscally conservative, common sense approach to issues facing our town.
