RUHS Gymnasts
Show Off Routines
By Mikayla Dieffenbach

The Randolph Ghost gymnasts hosted their third home meet on Friday, Jan. 26. The girls rocked the events with new skills and improved routines. Carol Greene, clinician, helped the girls with their attitudes in their performances.

Melissa McIntyre had a beautiful floor routine with a round-off back tuck that she had been working on all week. She also attempted a kip on bars, and did a great job on the beam. Kelsey Inzer flew her handspring vault then rocked the bars with three kips and stuck her routine.

Sam McPhetres had an awesome meet with two kips on bars, a high energy vault, front pike beam dismount and a huge front tuck in her floor routine. Lacy Dezan and Jenna Miller had bold handsprings at a new vault height and had beam routines to score for the team, both nailing their flip dismounts. Stephany Churchill started off the beam rotation with a beautiful routine, scoring well.

Kayla Stevenson performed her first round-off back-handspring on floor. Bryn Keenhold performed wonderfully after being injured for some time. She threw her first round-off back-handspring on floor, and competed on all events. Kim Francis had a front handspring in her floor and had her second handspring attempt on vault. Bridget Harty did a wonderful job managing the team, but for the second time is on the injured list. Overall, the Ghosts had an awesome meet against the U-32 Raiders.

Come see the Ghosts’ last home meet on February 9 in the junior high gym at 7 p.m.
