Hazel H. Hebert

CARVER, MASS.—Hazel Haggett Hebert, 85, formerly of Randolph, Vt. And Brockton, Mass., died Monday evening, Jan. 29, 2007 at home in Carver, Mass.

She was born Sept. 20, 1921 in Randolph, the daughter of Earl and Leola (Smith) Haggett. She attended Randolph Elementary School and graduated from Brookline (Mass.) High School in 1938. She had lived in Massachusetts since age 10.

She married Harold Hebert August 31, 1940 in Milford, Conn. He died in 1984. She had worked in restaurants, was a member of St. Coleman’s Catholic Church in Brockton, Mass., and enjoyed crocheting.

Survivors include her grandchildren: Jacqueline Strickland of Brockton, Mass.; Janlyn Egan of Carver, Mass.; James Battles of Hanson, Mass.; and Jason Battles of Barre; and four great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Judith Ann Battles.

Graveside services will be held in May at the Brookfield Center Cemetery in Brookfield. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Day Funeral Home in Randolph.
