Speak Up Now

For Vt. Biking

If you want Vermont to be a safer, more enjoyable place to walk and bicycle, you now have a unique opportunity to make it so.

Prior to Feb. 5, the state is accepting comments on the recently released draft of the Pedestrian Bicycle Policy Plan. This plan will guide the actions of Vermont's Agency of Transportation for the next five years and beyond.

If you don't have time to read the entire plan, you can review the brief executive summary. Both can be accessed via:

www.aot.state.vt.us

/planning/pbpp.htm

Please let VTrans know how much you care about present and future conditions for bicyclists and walkers. Whether your interest is recreation, transportation, health, or the environment, your opinion matters, so let your voice be heard.

The most useful comments are those that are highly specific and that are in your own words. If you object to a certain phrase or sentence, it's best to offer your recommendation for replacement text and be clear about where exactly you want the change to go.

Please email your comments to: Scott.Bascom@state.vt.us or send a letter to: Scott Bascom, Planning Coordinator, Policy and Planning Division, VTrans, National Life Building, Drawer 33, Montpelier 05633.

Thank you for speaking up for improved conditions for bicyclists and walkers throughout Vermont. For more information, please feel free to contact the Vermont Bicycle and Pedestrian Coalition via info@VTBikePed.org
