RUHS Hosts Wrestling Meet
By Rachel Jarvis

The Randolph wrestlers hosted a home meet this past week with Mt. Abe and Colchester. This meet was not run in the usual way because of the small sizes of all three teams. Only six of the Ghosts got to wrestle in regular matches.

Against Mt. Abe Randolph only had three matches. Wes Simpson wrestled Kori Martel and defeated him with a score of 12 to 0. Matt Simpson wrestled Cole Lossman and defeated him with a pin time of 2 minutes, 44 seconds. David Maxfield was the last match against Mt. Abe. He wrestled Shawn Kimball, but was defeated by a decision.

Against Colchester Randolph only matched up twice. Stephen Bent wrestled Steve Torres and defeated him with a decision of 18 to 7. Ben Adams wrestled David Posey and defeated him with a pin time of 55 seconds.

The Ghosts go to Essex this Friday and Saturday for the Essex Classics.

Junior High

The junior high wrestlers traveled to Mt. Abe this past weekend to compete in a round robin tournament. Charlie Ferris wrestled at 119 pounds, and took third place. Morgan Angell wrestled in the 171-pound weight class and also took third. Blake Quillia wrestled at 125 pounds and received third place as well. Finally, Jacob Flint wrestling at 160 pounds received first place. Coach Jeff Norton said "all the kids wrestled at a great level today." They have a break this weekend, but they travel to Rutland on Wednesday, the 24th.
