Chelsea Boys Now at 5-2

     On January 10, the Chelsea boys downed Rochester in basketball action. The Red Devils came out strong with a good lead going into the half. Fast breaks and tough defense limited the Rochester Rockets to 32 points by the end of the game.

Tough Week for Lady Devils

     The Lady Red Devils faced a busy week as they played three tough games in a row. Their first mach up was against the Rivendell Raptors last Thursday.

RUHS Boys Lose to Mt. Abe

     Mount Abraham scored a combined 49 points in the first and third quarters as they defeated the Randolph boys, 67-46, in Bristol last Friday.

RUHS Girls Lose 2 Close Games

     It was cold outside and even colder inside last Thursday when the Randolph Gal Ghosts travelled to Harwood to play the Highlanders. Both teams’ offense was cold and the enthusiasm was even colder as the two teams played to a 6-5 first quarter.

RUHS Hosts Wrestling Meet

     The Randolph wrestlers hosted a home meet this past week with Mt. Abe and Colchester. This meet was not run in the usual way because of the small sizes of all three teams. Only six of the Ghosts got to wrestle in regular matches.

Rochester Boys Lose Two

     Last week the Rochester varsity boys lost on the road to Chelsea, 59-32. Rochester then hosted the Twinfield Trojans and lost at home. The game was tight all through the first quarter until the Trojans went on a run in the second.

Devils Trump Phoenix

     January 10th was a sad day for Phoenix fans as the Williamstown Devils left the court with the win, 63-49. Although the Phenix did put up a fight Sharon Coach Ellis says "They beat us fair and square and we couldn’t stop them; they out-rebounded us, so I see that we need to work on our defense.
