Beat Blue Mt. By Mary Childs The Chelsea boys traveled to Blue Mountain and played a close game, winning 61-59. Chelsea came out strong with Joe Bonesera hitting two 3-pointers to give them a lead. The Red Devils built a lead through-out the first half, but in the last few minutes of the 2nd quarter BMU cut Chelsea’s lead down to one point. The game proved to be close throughout the 2nd half. The intense defense and fast offense of the Chelsea Red Devils kept them in the lead to the final minutes of the game. But Blue Mountain didn’t make it easy. Within the final minutes Blue Mountain made several three’s to close the gap to two. Andrew Richardson’s clutch foul shots held the BMU Bucks back. Chelsea came home with the two-point win. The scoring for the Red Devils was spread out evenly with four Chelsea boys scoring double figures. Bonesara hit 10 points, Jesse Blondin pitched in some buckets and a couple of three’s for 10 points as well, Zeb Allen chipped in 15 points and Brandon Emery tallied 14. Chelsea’s record improves to 3-2 and they hosted Rochester Wednesday. ____________ |
