Ghosts Battle Losing Streak The Randolph boys played the Lyndon Vikings at home last Thursday, and lost 51-32. The Ghosts shot around 20% for the game. It took six minutes for Randolph to score in the first quarter, off a David Cooch put-back on the offensive glass. Connor Fowler later scored inside, but that’s all Randolph would get as they trailed 12-4 at the end of the first quarter. Randolph’s offense picked up in the second quarter, but so did Lyndon’s as the Vikings outscored Randolph 16-12. Ira Tillberg hit a trey and Fowler had four points in the quarter. Randolph trailed at halftime 28-16. Randolph got its four points in the third quarter from Mike Czok and Derek Riley, both on the offensive glass. Scoring went back and forth between the two teams for about three minutes before Randolph made a run at the Vikings. Tillberg scored seven of Randolph’s 12 points in the fourth quarter, bringing them within 10 at one point. Lyndon would pull ahead in the last few minutes though, and win by a final score of 51-32. Tillberg was the high scorer with 10 points. Also scoring was Fowler with eight, Czok, five, Kyle Connolly, three, and Cooch, Riley, and Zack Allard all with two. Czok also had eight rebounds, and Fowler had six rebounds. The Randolph boys played Northfield Wednesday in Northfield. The Randolph girls game at Harwood last Friday was postponed, and moved to January 11. ____________ |
