RANDOLPH—John Clinton Sawyer, 52, died at his home in Randolph, on December 22, 2006. John was born on January 28, 1954 in Hanover, N. H., the son of Clinton Elmer and Joyce (Wood) Sawyer. He graduated from Woodstock Union High School in 1972. He married Beth Aiken in 1978 in Woodstock. John spent many years working as an electrician. He worked for Punky Rowlee in Reading; Hancor in Springfield; and for Leonard’s Gas & Electric in Woodstock. John and Stephen Kondi had recently started their own business, On Demand Propane & Electric, Inc. After living in Reading for several years John and Beth had spent the past three years at "their little piece of Heaven" in Randolph, where John enjoyed tending to his several water buffalo. John also enjoyed his family’s company, especially spending time with his sons. He is survived by his wife, Beth Ann Sawyer; his two sons, Jonathan Sawyer of Sharon, and Brian Sawyer of Pomfret; his mother, Joyce Wood Merriam of South Royalton; his sister Susan and her husband Don Bagley of Ponca City, Okla. He is pre- deceased by his father and his step-father, Floyd Merriam. A graveside service will be held in the Silver Lake Cemetery in Barnard on Thursday, Dec. 28, at 1 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Cabot Funeral Home in Woodstock. ____________ |
