RANDOLPH—Rita Helen Mc-Intyre, 71, died Monday, Dec. 11, 2006 at her son’s home in Randolph. She was born May 9, 1935 in Rochester, the daughter of Floyd R. and Gladys (Sweet) Martell. She attended Bethel and Randolph schools and graduated from Randolph High School in 1953. In earlier years she worked at Ethan Allen in Randolph. She later worked as a certified nurse’s aid at Gifford Memorial Hospital and for the Visiting Nurse Alliance of Vermont and New Hampshire, until retiring in 2002. She enjoyed playing cards and playing Bingo. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her son, Greg McIntyre and his wife, Leslie, of Randolph; her brother, Romaine Martell and wife, Janet, of St. Albans; three grandchildren: Cara, Hayden and Samuel McIntyre, all of Randolph; her fiancé, Stanley Arbuckle of Charlestown, N.H.; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, Floyd Martell, Jr. and Donald Martell; and a sister, Kathleen Burnham. Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 15 at 10 a.m. at the United Church of Randolph, with Pastor Roger Wotton officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Randolph. Calling hours will be Thursday evening from 7-8 p.m. at the Day Funeral Home in Randolph Contributions in her memory may be made to the Visiting Nurse Alliance-Hospice VNH, 46 S.
